If you ever dreamed of hosting a short-term game night rental experience, someone’s already beat you to the punch.

Together, Vrbo and your childhood-favorite card game, Uno, have opened a booking for six Uno-branded vacation rentals priced at four dollars per night.

The company announced the one-of-a-kind promotion alongside Mattel earlier this month.

“UNO isn’t just a game, it’s a spark that brings people together, from fueling friendly rivalries to creating lasting memories. With Vrbo, we’re bringing UNO into these homes and turning them into game-night destinations, giving fans a new way to connect, compete, and play together wherever they are,” Katie Buford, Vice President and Global Head of Mattel Games said in a press release.

The immersive vacation experience runs through summer 2026 with properties split between two tiers.

Two premium Wild Card stays in the Hollywood Hills and Texas Hill Country include full UNO-themed décor, curated game nights, and in-home dining experiences.

Meanwhile, four additional Play It Your Way properties in Winter Park, Palm Desert, Panama City Beach, and Atlanta strip out the custom décor – but still include an UNO welcome kit and group amenities like pools and game rooms.

The collaboration extends Mattel’s broader partnership with Expedia Group that began earlier this year.

Here’s how it works.

Each property accommodates up to 10 guests for three-night weekend bookings, and reservations operate on a first-come basis with bookings opening May 15.

Vrbo and UNO created a custom card deck for each property featuring travel-themed illustrations and a new rule called the Vacation Rental Swap that allows players to swap hands mid-game.

The properties are listed as Premier Host vacation rentals selected for their group-friendly layouts and entertainment spaces.

Operators watching platform marketing tactics should note this structure. Vrbo absorbs the promotional pricing to secure branded content and social reach while property owners gain exposure through a major consumer campaign.

If the activation drives measurable engagement, expect more CPG brands to test similar partnerships with short-term rental platforms looking to differentiate inventory and capture group bookings outside peak travel windows.
