The next vacation rental growth tool is not another pricing dashboard. It is a prospecting machine.
KeyData launched a new Owner Acquisition Platform on June 9, giving U.S. vacation rental managers a way to find homes worth adding to their portfolios before they start chasing owners.
The platform combines public ownership records, online travel agency performance data, and market intelligence across more than 3,000 U.S. vacation rental markets, the company told the STR Wire in a press release.
The new tool will also short-term rental operators to search for properties by revenue potential, occupancy performance, location, pricing behavior, and amenities. Once they identify a target, they can unlock verified owner names and mailing addresses through public records integrations.
KeyData turns owner acquisition into a performance-data play
The launch comes as vacation rental managers face a harder growth environment.
More markets are tightening permit rules, competition for high-performing homes is increasing, and adding inventory for the sake of adding inventory is becoming a weaker strategy.
The company is positioning the platform as a more targeted alternative to broad owner outreach. Instead of starting with a contact list, managers start with performance signals.

“There is only so much revenue growth property managers can achieve by optimizing the homes they already have,” KeyData CEO Dustin Downing said in the announcement. “At a certain point, growth comes down to acquiring more inventory, and more importantly, acquiring the right inventory.”

Downing said most acquisition platforms are built around volume and broad outreach, while KeyData’s approach combines real performance intelligence with ownership data to show which homes are worth pursuing based on revenue potential and market opportunity.
The platform includes map and list-based search, advanced filters, CSV and Excel export tools and visibility across all KeyData-supported U.S. markets.
KeyData’s Owner Acquisition Platform is available as an add-on to the KeyData Dashboard and is launching first across the company’s supported U.S. vacation rental markets.
