Airbnb has just become the official lodging partner for five NASCAR-affiliated racetracks, including Bristol Motor Speedway, North Wilkesboro Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Martinsville Speedway, and Talladega Superspeedway.
The deals cover the 2027 NASCAR season and mark the first time the rental giant has locked down formal track partnerships at this scale.
Under the new partnership, Airbnb will embed its listings directly into the websites of the five NASCAR tracks, a move designed to funnel tens of thousands of race fans toward short-term rentals in small towns where hotels have never kept pace with demand, the company announced in a press release.
“Two-thirds of US Census tracts have an Airbnb listing but no hotel, making short-term rentals critical infrastructure for these key racing communities,” the release said.

“Big events have been part of Airbnb’s DNA since day one, and there are few events more deeply woven into the fabric of American communities than NASCAR. The racetracks in this partnership sit in towns where hotel rooms are scarce but the welcome runs deep, especially places like Darlington, Talladega, and North Wilkesboro, where neighbors have been opening their doors to race fans for generations,” said Adam Alfandary, Head of US East Business, Airbnb.
“This partnership puts locals at the front of the pack and helps communities that make race weekends possible share directly in the economic opportunity it creates,” Alfandary added.
The integration is designed to make it easier for race fans to book nearby properties, especially for families and groups traveling together. Two of the tracks fall under Speedway Motorsports ownership, while the other three are affiliated with NASCAR.
Airbnb has been targeting events in markets where traditional hotel supply is limited.

Darlington, Talladega, and North Wilkesboro all sit in rural communities where lodging typically fills up fast during race weekends.
The move gives local property owners in those areas a direct channel to thousands of incoming fans, while the platform gets prominent placement during some of the most hotel-constrained weekends of the year.
What operators near NASCAR tracks need to know
The partnership creates a direct booking pipeline from official track domains to Airbnb inventory, eliminating friction for traveling families and groups.

Speedway Motorsports and NASCAR clearly see short-term rental platforms as a lever to extend fan stays, not just solve a one-night problem.
Listings go live on track sites ahead of the 2027 season, giving hosts in North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, South Carolina, and Alabama months to optimize inventory and pricing strategies before the first green flag drops.
Operators near these tracks now have a clearer picture of where demand will be funneled starting in 2027.
With Airbnb listings appearing on official speedway pages, hosts who optimize for race weekends could see increased visibility and booking volume from fans planning trips months.
